Outside the Classroom

Excellent Opportunities

Lathallan School’s curriculum offers excellent opportunities for our young people to develop their individual talents and qualities and prepares them well for life beyond school. The school grounds offer a variety of opportunities for engaging lessons to be taught outside the classroom. Recent developments include an outdoor classroom adjacent to the Junior School which includes a variety of tools to supplement pupils’ learning. Currently a Tree House Classroom is being built which will provide another space for exciting lessons with the added bonus of shelter when the weather is not so kind.

We offer a broad range of extra curriculuar activities which helps your child develop outwith an academic environment. We aim to help young people discover talents that they did not realise they had; which helps their confidence and interactions with their peers. There are many hands-on opportunities for pupils outside the classroom including our fledgling school farm which allows pupils to develop their confidence by caring for the animals whilst developing outdoor skills such as building enclosures and monitoring their diet.

Whether your child enjoys music, drama, sport, languages or the outside world, you can be assured that Lathallan School caters for all tastes, and nutures a child’s development to help them become a well rounded individual, ready to achieve in life after school.
