Bingo fun raises funds for South African Orphanage

On Thursday 1 February during Civilianship the whole Junior School took part in a big game of bingo, complete with proper books and dabbers, to raise money for Vuyani Safehaven in Graaf Reinet, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The afternoon was organised and run entirely by the S5 and S6 pupils who are going to South Africa in July. The pupils were divided into Houses and then into groups of three made up of younger, middle and older pupils from J1 to J7. With senior pupils and staff on hand to help and ensure fair play, the children enjoyed a fun (and Numeracy) filled hour while also raising upwards of £150 for the children and carers at Vuyani and in the Khayanisho township in impoverished Pearston near Graaf Reinet. Thank You to all who contributed from the South Africa 2018 Group and the children and carers in South Africa. Look out for the next fundraiser!
Tot Siens en Danki.
