On Friday 1 September the National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Geography pupils travelled to Glen Clova to take part in fieldwork for their assignments. The Higher and Advanced Higher group ventured along to Corrie Fee where took measurements to compare fluvial and glacial deposits. The National 5 group conducted their study at the South Esk River, where they measured the characteristics of the river in order to compare a straight and meandering section of the river. The weather was dry and sunny, making the Glen look beautiful, but the persistent midges were certainly a distraction! The fieldwork was lead by tutors from GeoBus, an outreach Geosciences programme from St. Andrews University.
