From 30 April to 2 May the J6 year group took part in a three day bike expedition based in Strathspey. The pupils all enjoyed the combination of biking, camping and adventure. The trip was ably directed and supported by staff from the school allowing pupils to demonstrate and apply their newly developed Go MTB skills. All developed further in trail and off trail riding, basic bike repair and expedition skills. Four children; Arabella, Dean, Adam and Cameron completed their first bike river crossing with Munro ascent, the descent from which was the high point of their day. All pupils and staff were comfortable and happy becoming a source of interest to tourists when playing games in the church yard. Thanks go to St Colombas’ church for the use of their hall again this year and to Mr Carter and Mrs Martin for helping make it happen.
Well done to all pupils who took part!
