Junior School pupils meet NASA Astronaut

On Monday 19 March Junior 6 and 7 pupils travelled to the Science Centre in Aberdeen to hear a talk titled “Inspiring the Next Generation” delivered by NASA. The pupils heard from former Astronaut Bob Cenker, Mason Markee an ex NASA Robotics Engineer and Nicole a NASA micro-biologist who looks after the health of the crew.

After the talk finished pupils were given the opportunity to ask questions and try out a simple robotic arm.

The visit to Aberdeen Science Centre was an excellent opportunity for pupils to learn more about the experience of travelling and living in space and the technology behind space missions.
