Liam performs for HRH the Duke of Rothesay

Liam Brown, S3 was the youngest piper in a 30-strong team from the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland invited to perform at a special event hosted by HRH Duke of Rothesay (Prince Charles) at Buckingham Palace on 21 June. The event celebrated the renovation work of the Princes Trust at Dumfries House, Ayrshire. 10 years ago Prince Charles raised the funds to purchase Dumfries House for the nation and it is now open to the public.
The team performed for almost 2 hours for guests in the gardens of the palace, in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees, the hottest June day since 1976! Unfortunately, for security reasons, there are no photos of the performance. But here is a photo of the team, taken at their accommodation the morning before the performance.
