Lathallan School pupil Ross Milne (15) has been selected by Scottish Rugby for their forthcoming under-16s Welsh tour.
Ross, originally from Carnoustie, has been named to take part in the Conwy International Rugby Festival between April 1-9. Teams from Scotland, Wales, France and Italy will all be competing.
“I’m really proud to have been selected” said Ross. “I’m looking forward to playing at such a high standard with others from around Scotland. It will be a whole new experience, and I can’t wait to show what I can do on the field”.
Mr Richard Toley, Headmaster of Lathallan School, said “This is a huge achievement for both Ross, and Lathallan School. As a small school of just over 200 pupils, we’re really developing our rugby programme; this shows that our rugby coaching is well preparing our pupils to become Scotland stars of the future”.
As part of Lathallan School’s dedication to rugby excellence, the sixth annual Lathallan Rugby Sevens will be taking place at Brotherton Castle on Saturday 23 April. Teams from the whole region will be taking part in the tournament, with competitions from P7 level to under-18. Spectators welcome, with kick off at 10.30am.
