This is a post by Mr. Sadio, our newest sports coach to join Lathallan:
It’s hard to believe it’s already been two months since I joined the Lathallan community. From the moment I stepped onto campus, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff and students alike have made me feel right at home, and the “family feel” of the school is truly palpable.
A Strong Foundation in Sports
I’ve been particularly impressed by the number of talented athletes at Lathallan. The students are incredibly engaged in sports and wellbeing activities, and the PDA afternoons are a fantastic initiative that promotes a healthy work-life balance.
The Power of Sport
Participation in sports offers numerous benefits, both physical and mental. It teaches valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience. I believe that sport plays a crucial role in the overall student experience at Lathallan, contributing to their personal growth and development.
Looking Ahead
In the coming months, I hope to continue to elevate the rugby program to new heights. Working alongside Mr. JGC, we aim to create a comprehensive program that will put us on par with the top rugby schools in the country. We’ve already introduced specific position skills sessions and relaunched the strength and conditioning program to enhance the training experience for our players.
Beyond rugby, I’m excited to support other sports and teams, as well as learn new sports myself. I’m confident that together, we can build a strong and vibrant sports program that will benefit all students at Lathallan.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Lathallan community, and I’m eager to see what the future holds.
