Explore Lathallan Scholarships

Lathallan School offers S1 and S5 Scholarships. These are designed to support talented and driven students. We offer a limited number of Scholarships which are awarded on merit. 

We are now accepting applications for our 2027 Scholarship programme, open to prospective and current pupils who will be entering S1 and S5 in August 2027.  

Scholarships are available for pupils who excel in the following areas:
Academic,
All-rounder,
Bagpipes/Marching drums
Drama,
Ecology,
Music,
Netball,
Rugby,
Sports (general). 

As a Lathallan Scholar, not only will you gain prestige, but you will also benefit from a fee remission of up to 25%. Our Scholarships are open to candidates from any background and can be held along with a bursary for means-tested fee assistance.

As a Lathallan Scholar, your child will thrive in our rich academic environment, engage in a challenging intellectual program, and be surrounded by like-minded young individuals. We believe in fostering a supportive community that encourages positive role models and contributions to the wider life of the school.

Ready to Apply?

  1. Take a look at the Overview and Scholarship Guidance: Learn more about each scholarship field and the application requirements.
  2. Complete the Online Application: Submit your application electronically by Friday 23rd October 2026 for both S1 and S5 Scholarships. 
  3. S1 Scholarship assessments will be held on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th November 2026.
  4. Application Outcome: Receive notification by email. A letter and offer pack will arrive with you in the post before the 11th December 2026.
  5. S1 Transition Days take place in June ahead of the first day of term in August 2027.

Fees & Assistance

The general level of discount for a Scholarship can vary from anywhere between 5-25% of the child’s school fees. A Scholarship is a recognition of excellence and potential in candidates from any background, and therefore can be held along with a bursary (means-tested fee assistance).
