Getting To Lathallan

By Car – Lathallan is situated on the edge of the North Sea coastline, just off the popular A92 Coastal Road between Angus and Aberdeen. It is around a 15 minutes drive from Montrose and Laurencekirk and 20 minutes from Stonehaven.

Aberdeen is just over 40 minutes away and journey times in towns and villages North West Aberdeen have been significantly reduced with the opening of the new AWPR route in 2018. 

By Coach – Lathallan offers direct daily coach travel to the school across Angus, Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City. We currently have six main bus routes which are determined by the location of our pupils – North, Royal Deeside, South, Edzell, Auchenblae and Arbroath. You can see the graphic below for pick-up points. 

The Stagecoach X7 Coastrider drops off passengers at the bus stop adjacent to the school entrance. It is not exclusive to Lathallan pupils but provides wider coverage of the North East as it travels from Perth to Aberdeen on the A92 via Dundee, Arbroath, Montrose & Stonehaven on an hourly basis.

By Train – Lathallan is served by two neighbouring train stations, Montrose and Laurencekirk. Both are within 15 minutes drive of the school and are on the busy Northeast route between Aberdeen and London. Our direct bus links have pick-up points in both Montrose and Laurencekirk.

By Air – Aberdeen Airport is a growing air hub with direct links to 40 destinations across Europe. It takes around 40 minutes to travel to Lathallan from Aberdeen Airport via the new AWPR.
