Lathallan Rugby 7s Tournament 2025 – Sponsored by Sword IACS

On Saturday 26 April, over 30 school/ club teams came together at Lathallan to compete, connect, and celebrate the spirit of rugby. From the first kick-off to the final whistle, the atmosphere was electric. Lathallan Rugby 7s has become a significant fixture in our school community’s sporting calendar and is recognised as one of the largest rugby 7s tournaments in the North East of Scotland.

By 10am, queues to enter the grounds stretched right back. With sunshine overhead and cheers echoing across the pitches, the day delivered on every level.

Proceeds supported our fundraising for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and the Strathmore Community Rugby Trust, continuing our commitment to sport with purpose.

We were delighted to welcome back a huge number of Old Lathallians, whose presence added another layer of meaning to the day. Their stories, support, and pride in returning to Lathallan made the event even more special.

To everyone who played, cheered, volunteered, donated, or simply soaked in the day — thank you. You helped make this a day to remember.

“Being part of the Lathallan 7s is about more than sport,” said Scott Keenon of Sword IACS, our headline sponsor. “It’s about backing young people, celebrating community, and reminding ourselves what happens when people come together around shared values. We’re proud to be involved — even if it means losing our voices cheering on the touchline.”
