Welcome

Lathallan School would like to extend a very warm welcome to everyone attending our annual Mini Highland Games.

Teams – this year we’re welcoming P4/5 & P6/7 teams from Catterline, Johnshaven and of course our Lathallan pupils.

Lathallan Parent’s Association and our awesome Class Reps have organised an array of stalls and lots of family fun – the very first Lathallan Dog show, mini golf, treasure hunt, craft stall, activity stall, archery and much more! Our Sports Department are running the events. You can tune into highland dance performances from the Gordon School of Dancing. And, the Lathallan School Pipe Band are holding their piping and drumming competition.

Our Chieftain 

We’re delighted to welcome Daniel Robb as our Chieftain for the Lathallan Mini Highland Games 2025. Daniel is Vice President of the Royal Scottish Highland Games Association and Chairman of Aboyne Highland Games.

Piping and Drumming Competition

While all entrants must be of school age (year of birth no earlier than 2007), playing requirements are based on ability level rather than age. You’ll be sent the schedule via email to see when your child is performing for the judges. Don’t forget, registration for the Piping and Drumming Competition starts at 12:45pm on Saturday.

Raffle

The Hamper Raffle is now live! – featuring an impressive collection of 13 extraordinary hampers ready to delight their fortunate winners! Hamper themes include; Lego, Gardening, Scottish, Boozy, Food plus many more. Tickets are just £1 each. The draw will take place on Saturday 20th September at the games.

Dog Show

There are 5 categories in which to enter your four legged friend and we have a wonderful range of prizes for both humans and pooches. Categories include – Waggiest tail, Cutest dog, Best trick, Dog & Spoon race (with handler) and Dog most like their handler.
