Tuition Fee:

  • £9,968 per annum (J1 to J2 Pathways)
  • £14,672 per annum (J3 – J4 Pathways)
  • £22,081 per annum (J5 to J7)
  • £26,902 per annum (S1 to S6)

Lunch and snack Fee:
£1,290 per annum (applicable to all students, J1 to S6)

Stationery and associated supplies Fee:
£30 per annum (applicable to all students, J1 to S6)

Boarding Fee:

  • £10,467 per annum (Full)
  • £6,821 per annum (Weekly)
  • £121 per week (Flexi – min charge of two nights per week)

All of the above figures include VAT where applicable

Additional Information:
There is a 5% reduction for a younger sibling and a 10% reduction for the youngest of threechildren, providing the children are at school together. This is not applicable to siblings on the reduced Pathways scheme. There is a 20% reduction for children of serving members of the British Armed Forces.

Fees and extras will be invoiced termly, three per year and are payable on or before the first day of each term. All fees will be split into three termly instalments of 40% (Autumn term), 35% (Spring term) and 25% (summer term). Any parent wishing to pay for the full academic year in advance will receive a 1% fee discount and should contact the Bursar to make appropriate arrangements (bursar@lathallan.org.uk)

The Directors reserve the right to increase the fees without a full term’s notice if it should prove necessary. It is the norm to revise fee levels only once each year. Please note that in all cases, a full term’s notice of intention to withdraw a child from school or boarding is required in writing to the Headmaster,otherwise a term’s fees are due in lieu of notice.

A non-refundable registration fee of £100 is due at the time of application. A fee deposit of £500 is required to secure a place, this is only refundable (less any extras) on the final fee note.

Pupils using the flexible boarding service will be charged a minimum of two nights per week. If pupils stay more than two nights then they will be charged for those and any subsequent nights. Nights cannot be accrued over time or used en bloc.

The cost for using the morning and evening home-to- school minibus/coach is subsidized by the school and the charge per trip for pupils using the service is as follows:

  • £6.00 from/to Aboyne,
  • £5.53 from/to Arbroath,
  • £5.53 from/to Aberdeen and Banchory,
  • £5.04 from/to Brechin and Finavon,
  • £5.04 from/to Inverkeilor,
  • £4.75 from/to Stonehaven,
  • £4.67 from/to Edzell and Fettercairn,
  • £4.47 from/to Montrose,
  • £4.40 from/to Catterline
  • £4.14 from/to Laurencekirk,
  • £2.27 from/to Inverbervie, St Cyrus and Kinneff.

There is a £7.00 charge for day pupils staying for supper.

A weekly charge of £10.50 will be made for those children who swim on Friday afternoons.

The cost of exam fees will be charged to all students sitting exams. There may be other small outlays, details of which can be discussed with the Office or the Bursar.

Music lessons are offered in piano, strings, woodwind, recorder, keyboard, brass, guitar, vocal, bagpipes, chanter drums and drumkit; music lessons and drama are charged by the individual peripatetic teachers. An up-to-date scale of charges is available from the Office.
