This August, from the 14th to the 16th, the Brechin Castle Showfield will transform into a vibrant hub of music and community spirit. Summer’s End Angus is set to deliver three spectacular days of live music, featuring an incredible multi-genre lineup led by The Jacksons, Rag’n’Bone Man, and UB40.
With additional performances from Bonnie Tyler, Pixie Lott, Skerryvore, Tide Lines, Cammy Barnes, and rising star Paris Paloma, this is set to be one of Scotland’s biggest feel-good summer weekends, welcoming over 12,000 people per day.
Catch Lathallan in the Line Up
Summer’s End Angus has a very personal connection to our school. It has been founded by long-time Lathallan parents Katrina and Gareth, whose children Addison (S5), Reid (S4), and Rowan (S1) are all part of our community.
While the festival is a national-level event, ranking as Scotland’s third-largest mainstream festival of 2026, it remains a not-for-profit initiative designed specifically to stimulate business income and tourism for the local area.
Main Stage Performances – Lathallan parent Sandi Thom performs on Sunday with special guest Ben Poole, and the Lathallan Pipe Band takes to the Main Stage on Sunday for a gig with Skerryvore.
The Garden Stage – Look out for J*MP (Jennifer, Mia, and Poppy’s band) performing on Saturday.
Our very own Mr Fernandez will be supporting videography across the event, as well as rocking the stage with his band MAC/DC on Saturday.
Pupil volunteers – a number of Lathallan pupils will be stepping into volunteer roles across the weekend, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in technical production and event management.

Summer’s End Angus is a purpose-driven festival where every beat contributes to building a stronger, more vibrant community. By placing the community first, all profits from the event are reinvested locally through Hatchwork to support the ongoing regeneration and enterprise of Brechin. This commitment extends to a high street revival, providing a meaningful economic boost to local shops and strengthening the town’s overall economy. Furthermore, the festival fosters youth empowerment by funding and mentoring young people and small businesses to help them thrive across Angus. Ultimately, by bringing nationally recognised artists to the area, Summer’s End Angus is creating a lasting cultural legacy that builds local pride and puts Brechin firmly back on Scotland’s cultural map.
